# Polychoron Explorer vs Tidegate

The clearest difference is update cadence: Tidegate at every 10 days against Polychoron Explorer's every 3 weeks. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Polychoron Explorer sells 3 one-off in-app purchases and Tidegate sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Polychoron Explorer ships an update every 3 weeks, Tidegate every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
