# piksel vs Event Days Timer

The clearest difference is monetization model: piksel at freemium against Event Days Timer's paid. piksel also leads on iOS requirement (16.6 vs 26.0). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. piksel sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and Event Days Timer sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
