# SkinScholar vs Bare

The clearest difference is device support: SkinScholar at 3 against Bare's 1. SkinScholar also leads on iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SkinScholar sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $29.99 per year and Bare sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
