# Plotsy vs HoldOn

The clearest difference is ads: Plotsy at none against HoldOn's shown. HoldOn's advantage is iOS requirement (13.3 vs 17.0). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Plotsy sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and HoldOn sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Plotsy ships an update every 2 weeks, HoldOn fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on September 8, 2026 and September 17, 2026 respectively.
