# Shellfire vs Drone Strike

Shellfire and Drone Strike both sit at 5.0 stars, but that hides the real split: 50% of Drone Strike's written reviews are positive against 0% of Shellfire's. Drone Strike also leads on ratings volume (92 vs 2) and update cadence (every 6 days vs every 2 weeks). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Shellfire sells 12 one-off in-app purchases and Drone Strike sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Shellfire holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Drone Strike has 92 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 0% of Shellfire's written reviews are positive against 50% of Drone Strike's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Shellfire ships an update every 2 weeks, Drone Strike every 6 days. Both last shipped on October 31, 2026.
