# CHOIL vs EdgeVault

The clearest difference is update cadence: CHOIL at every 2 days against EdgeVault's fortnightly. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. CHOIL sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $6.00 per month and EdgeVault sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

CHOIL ships an update every 2 days, EdgeVault fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 6, 2026 and October 5, 2026 respectively.
