# PhotoKip vs FolderCam

The clearest difference is update cadence: FolderCam at every 2 days against PhotoKip's every 5 days. PhotoKip's advantage is iOS requirement (15.5 vs 17.0). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. PhotoKip sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and FolderCam sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.90 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

PhotoKip ships an update every 5 days, FolderCam every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
