# Timber vs Watch Reader

The clearest difference is update cadence: Timber at every 4 days against Watch Reader's monthly. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Timber sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month and Watch Reader sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Timber ships an update every 4 days, Watch Reader monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 13, 2026 respectively.
