# Resonote vs markdown notes

The clearest difference is update cadence: Resonote at every 4 days against markdown notes's every 10 days. markdown notes's advantage is device support (4 vs 1) and iOS requirement (18.0 vs 26.0). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Resonote sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and markdown notes sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.49 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Resonote ships an update every 4 days, markdown notes every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
