# AURER vs Canopy

The clearest difference is monetization model: AURER at freemium against Canopy's subscription. AURER also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.7) and review sentiment (100% vs 86%). Canopy's advantage is ratings volume (54 vs 2) and iOS requirement (18.0 vs 26.0). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. AURER sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and Canopy sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

AURER holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Canopy has 54 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 100% of AURER's written reviews are positive against 86% of Canopy's.

AURER ships an update weekly, Canopy every 5 days. Both last shipped on October 31, 2026.
