# BookSnippet vs Metis

The clearest difference is update cadence: Metis at every 2 days against BookSnippet's every 10 days. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. BookSnippet sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Metis sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

BookSnippet ships an update every 10 days, Metis every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
