# Buzz vs Dictantor

The clearest difference is rating: Dictantor at 5.0 against Buzz's 4.2. Dictantor also leads on device support (3 vs 1). Buzz's advantage is ratings volume (65 vs 1) and update cadence (every 4 days vs every 11 days). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Dictantor holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Buzz has 65 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Buzz ships an update every 4 days, Dictantor every 11 days. The most recent releases landed on November 5, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
