# Tessera vs Otar

The clearest difference is update cadence: Otar at daily against Tessera's every 4 days. Otar also leads on iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Tessera sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Otar sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $10.00 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Tessera ships an update every 4 days, Otar daily. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 29, 2026 respectively.
