# Music Notes vs Clefs

The clearest difference is iOS requirement: Clefs at 18.0 against Music Notes's 26.4. On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Music Notes sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Clefs sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 10, 2026 and October 4, 2026 respectively.
