# メタノート vs Shadow Work

The clearest difference is update cadence: Shadow Work at every 3 days against メタノート's every 2 weeks. メタノート's advantage is device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.0). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. メタノート sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Shadow Work sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

メタノート ships an update every 2 weeks, Shadow Work every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
