# Perch vs Ontime

The clearest difference is monetization model: Perch at freemium against Ontime's subscription. Perch also leads on ratings volume (5 vs 1). Ontime's advantage is iOS requirement (17.0 vs 26.0). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Perch sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and Ontime sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for Perch against 5.0 for Ontime. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Perch has 5 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Perch ships an update every 4 days, Ontime weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
