# PotPlayer vs ViewItOnce

The clearest difference is ads: ViewItOnce at none against PotPlayer's shown. PotPlayer's advantage is update cadence (every 3 days vs monthly) and iOS requirement (17.0 vs 26.0). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. PotPlayer sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days and ViewItOnce sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $9.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

PotPlayer ships an update every 3 days, ViewItOnce monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 19, 2026 respectively.
