# Canopy vs SideQuest

The clearest difference is rating: SideQuest at 5.0 against Canopy's 4.7. SideQuest also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 86%) and device support (3 vs 1). Canopy's advantage is ratings volume (56 vs 9). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Canopy sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per 7 days and SideQuest sells 10 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

SideQuest holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Canopy has 56 ratings behind it against 9, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 86% of Canopy's written reviews are positive against 100% of SideQuest's.

Canopy ships an update every 5 days, SideQuest every 3 days. Both last shipped on November 5, 2026.
