# Canopy vs WaveSpell

The clearest difference is monetization model: WaveSpell at freemium against Canopy's subscription. WaveSpell also leads on ads (none vs shown) and rating (5.0 vs 4.8). Canopy's advantage is ratings volume (53 vs 1). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Canopy sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days and WaveSpell sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $8.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

WaveSpell holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Canopy has 53 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.
