# NellyList vs Filameter

The clearest difference is ads: Filameter at none against NellyList's shown. NellyList's advantage is update cadence (every 3 days vs weekly) and ratings volume (5 vs 1). On price, rating, review sentiment and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. NellyList sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and Filameter sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for NellyList against 5.0 for Filameter. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: NellyList has 5 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 100% and 100% positive.

NellyList ships an update every 3 days, Filameter weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 22, 2026 respectively.
