# Butsu vs Onyx Focus

The clearest difference is update cadence: Onyx Focus at every 2 days against Butsu's every 2 weeks. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Butsu sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Onyx Focus sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Butsu ships an update every 2 weeks, Onyx Focus every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
