# StepSwitch vs Sync Stairs

The clearest difference is ads: Sync Stairs at none against StepSwitch's shown. StepSwitch's advantage is update cadence (every 4 days vs every 4 weeks) and iOS requirement (16.4 vs 26.0). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. StepSwitch sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Sync Stairs sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

StepSwitch ships an update every 4 days, Sync Stairs every 4 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 28, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
