# MicType vs OSGKeyboard

The clearest difference is update cadence: MicType at every 3 days against OSGKeyboard's fortnightly. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. MicType sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and OSGKeyboard sells 4 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

MicType ships an update every 3 days, OSGKeyboard fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
