Pixira

A digicam's color bleed, faded film, a camcorder's REC display, the colors of your first phone camera. Pick a camera and the viewfinder takes you back. Capture what you see, then redevelop it with another camera look whenever you change your mind. Pixira puts a shelf of old cameras on your iPhone. Choose a digicam, compact film camera, 8mm camcorder or early phone camera. Its colors and textures appear live and stay in your shot. Preview grain and flash effects, and turn the date stamp on or off before shooting. [Choose a camera. Shoot what you see] β’ Digicam: 2000s CCD color bleed and noise, with the direct flash of a slim Y2K compact. β’ Film: 35mm compact grain, faded colors and an orange date stamp. β’ Camcorder: REC, timecode and the distinct textures of VHS, 8mm and MiniDV. β’ Phone camera: ERA recreates the colors of early-2010s phone generations. β’ Selfies and photo strips: use the front camera, shoot vertically or horizontally, and save a single shot or a four-photo strip. [OPTIC lens effects] β’ Pixel hearts, stars, butterflies, confetti, light leaks, fisheye, prism and an 8-bit frame. β’ Swipe through effects and preview them live in the viewfinder. [The same looks, in motion] β’ Record video with the same cameras you use for photos. β’ Trim, rotate and adjust light and color in Edit Room. [Redevelop and Edit Room] β’ Redevelop: give captured or imported photos and videos another camera's look. Originals stay untouched. β’ Edit Room: adjust light, color, curves, mixer and detail. Compare with βView Originalβ. Crop is available for photos only. β’ Save finished photos and videos straight to your photo library. [Studio] β’ Browse camera bodies like a display shelf, then start shooting with one that catches your eye. β’ Save favorite camera and filter combinations as presets. [Great if you want to] β’ Shoot retro film and digicam photos without editing afterward. β’ Keep a vlog with a vintage camcorder feel. β’ Try another camera's colors on photos you've already taken. [Free access and Pixira Pro] All cameras, filters, effects and editing currently offered are free, with a daily limit on saving photos and videos. Pixira Pro only removes that limit. Choose a monthly or yearly subscription, or Lifetime access. Monthly and yearly subscriptions renew automatically at the end of the current period unless canceled. Your Apple account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the next period starts. If a free trial is offered, cancel at least 24 hours before it ends to avoid a charge. Old Video Camera
Read full descriptionHide full description
Old Video Camera turns your phone into an 80s camcorder. The soft, wobbly look of a worn tape is applied while you record, so what you save is already finished. Nothing to edit afterwards. How it works - Point and record. The analog look is written into the file, not added later. - Switch 4:3, 3:4, 1:1, 16:9 and 9:16 with a button. You never have to turn your phone. - Front or rear camera, with a T/W zoom rocker like the old decks had. The look - Colors bleed sideways, the way tape handled color. - Scan lines drift, a tracking band rolls slowly, the bottom edge tears. - Grain sits in the picture, and the sound takes on the narrow, wavering tone of a linear tape track. Date and readouts - Burn the date into the picture, with the time or without it. - Show the REC dot, battery and zoom bar the way a camcorder viewfinder did. - Every control answers with an old mechanical click. Privacy Your video and audio are processed on your device. Your video never leaves the phone unless you save it to your own photo library. Free with ads. A one-time purchase removes the ad shown after recording. Every camera feature is free.

Verdict
The clearest difference is ads: Pixira at none against Old Video Camera's shown. On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.
