# Rubberband vs Nimbus Synth

The clearest difference is update cadence: Nimbus Synth at weekly against Rubberband's monthly. Nimbus Synth also leads on iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Rubberband sells 2 one-off in-app purchases and Nimbus Synth sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Rubberband ships an update monthly, Nimbus Synth weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 29, 2026 respectively.
