# Block Word Flow vs Category Stack

The clearest difference is update cadence: Block Word Flow at every 4 days against Category Stack's every 3 weeks. Block Word Flow also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Block Word Flow sells 10 one-off in-app purchases and Category Stack sells 7 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Block Word Flow ships an update every 4 days, Category Stack every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on September 30, 2026 and September 13, 2026 respectively.
