# EctoMeter Ghost Detector vs Ghost Detector

The clearest difference is update cadence: Ghost Detector at every 9 days against EctoMeter Ghost Detector's every 5 weeks. Ghost Detector also leads on iOS requirement (16.0 vs 18.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. EctoMeter Ghost Detector sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Ghost Detector sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

EctoMeter Ghost Detector ships an update every 5 weeks, Ghost Detector every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
