# Fieldbox Backup vs Cinema Slate

The clearest difference is update cadence: Fieldbox Backup at every 4 days against Cinema Slate's monthly. Cinema Slate's advantage is device support (4 vs 2) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Fieldbox Backup sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and Cinema Slate sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Fieldbox Backup ships an update every 4 days, Cinema Slate monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 28, 2026 and October 26, 2026 respectively.
