# AuthorAZ vs Cadence

The clearest difference is update cadence: Cadence at daily against AuthorAZ's every 3 weeks. AuthorAZ's advantage is iOS requirement (16.4 vs 26.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. AuthorAZ sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Cadence sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

AuthorAZ ships an update every 3 weeks, Cadence daily. The most recent releases landed on October 28, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
