# FPV Lap Timer vs WheelLife

The clearest difference is update cadence: WheelLife at every 4 days against FPV Lap Timer's every 2 weeks. FPV Lap Timer's advantage is iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.6). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. FPV Lap Timer sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and WheelLife sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

FPV Lap Timer ships an update every 2 weeks, WheelLife every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on September 19, 2026 and September 29, 2026 respectively.
