# North Planner vs Bear Notes

The clearest difference is update cadence: Bear Notes at every 2 days against North Planner's every 2 weeks. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. North Planner sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $1.99 per month and Bear Notes sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

North Planner ships an update every 2 weeks, Bear Notes every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
