# Riveo vs Swiftly Player

The clearest difference is update cadence: Swiftly Player at every 6 days against Riveo's fortnightly. Swiftly Player also leads on iOS requirement (18.0 vs 26.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Riveo sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.49 per month and Swiftly Player sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Riveo ships an update fortnightly, Swiftly Player every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on October 31, 2026 and November 6, 2026 respectively.
