# Scratch vs Golfcount

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Golfcount at none against Scratch's 1. Scratch's advantage is update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months) and iOS requirement (17.0 vs 26.0). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Scratch sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Golfcount asks for nothing beyond the download.

Scratch ships an update every 3 weeks, Golfcount every 2 months. Both last shipped on October 31, 2026.
