# Spot vs Trakam

The clearest difference is rating: Trakam at 5.0 against Spot's 4.1. Trakam also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 1). Spot's advantage is update cadence (every 5 days vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (8 vs 1). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Spot sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $0.99 per month. Trakam asks for nothing beyond the download.

Trakam holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Spot has 8 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Spot ships an update every 5 days, Trakam every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 8, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
