# SkySet vs Hook Chain

The clearest difference is ads: Hook Chain at none against SkySet's shown. SkySet's advantage is update cadence (every 4 days vs every 10 days). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SkySet sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Hook Chain sells 7 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

SkySet ships an update every 4 days, Hook Chain every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 13, 2026 respectively.
