# QRForge.am vs Lux Light Meter

The clearest difference is update cadence: QRForge.am at weekly against Lux Light Meter's fortnightly. Lux Light Meter's advantage is ratings volume (5 vs 1). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. QRForge.am sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and Lux Light Meter sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for QRForge.am against 5.0 for Lux Light Meter. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Lux Light Meter has 5 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

QRForge.am ships an update weekly, Lux Light Meter fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
