# Sentry vs Hidden Cam Detect

Sentry and Hidden Cam Detect are too close to call on the numbers: across 6 compared parameters — price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases among them — neither pulls far enough ahead to decide it. What separates them is feature set and interface, not measurable difference.

Both are free to download. Sentry sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days and Hidden Cam Detect sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $14.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Sentry ships an update fortnightly, Hidden Cam Detect every 4 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 5, 2026 and September 30, 2026 respectively.
