# Ideon vs Pirates

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Pirates at 12 against Ideon's 2. On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Ideon sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Pirates sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for Ideon against 5.0 for Pirates. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Pirates has 12 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Ideon ships an update every 5 days, Pirates every 4 days. Both last shipped on October 28, 2026.
