# LimeTime vs Shared Timer

The clearest difference is monetization model: LimeTime at free against Shared Timer's free with in-app purchases. LimeTime also leads on update cadence (weekly vs fortnightly) and ratings volume (10 vs 3). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. LimeTime sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and Shared Timer sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for LimeTime against 5.0 for Shared Timer. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 10 and 3 respectively. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 100% and 100% positive.

LimeTime ships an update weekly, Shared Timer fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
