# Shooal vs DivePlot

The clearest difference is update cadence: Shooal at every 5 days against DivePlot's fortnightly. DivePlot's advantage is device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 18.6). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Shooal sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and DivePlot sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Shooal ships an update every 5 days, DivePlot fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 31, 2026 and November 1, 2026 respectively.
