# MsgPort vs TextTrace

The clearest difference is update cadence: TextTrace at every 2 days against MsgPort's every 6 months. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. MsgPort sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per 7 days and TextTrace sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
