Speaker test for any speaker, soundbar, car stereo or subwoofer. Play clean test tones, sweep the whole range, check left and right, and find how low your sub really goes. NEW: GUIDED SUBWOOFER TEST The test steps down from 100 Hz to 15 Hz in 5 Hz steps. Each step plays on its own, and you answer only after it has actually played for 2 seconds: I hear a steady tone, Not sure (replay) or Can't hear. Near the edge it plays the step again to confirm. The result is the lowest step you heard on this speaker at this volume, not a grade. Buzzing, rattling or only feeling vibration counts as Can't hear. QUICK SOUND CHECK One tap on the home screen plays a 440 Hz tone for 5 seconds, so you know sound is coming out before you start. TEST SIGNALS • Frequency sweep: 20 Hz to 20 kHz across the whole audible range. Tap the live Hz reading to mark a rattle or dropout at that frequency, then replay the mark. • Subwoofer sweep: 20 to 200 Hz to audition the low end and find rattles. • Left channel and right channel: sound from one side only, so you know which speaker is which. • Stereo: the same tone in both speakers, centred. • Polarity A/B: 100 Hz in phase (A), then inverted (B), three rounds. On a correctly wired pair, B is clearly quieter. TONE GENERATOR Any tone from 20 Hz to 20 kHz on a logarithmic slider, with fine steps and quick presets. Sine, square, triangle, sawtooth, white noise and pink noise. Send it to the left, right or both speakers, or play it inverted. TEST REPORT Tick what sounded right: left and right channel, stereo balance, bass, mids, treble, no distortion, no rattle. A "played" tag shows which related test ran to the end. Share the report when you are done. GUIDE Short steps for setup, sweeps, the subwoofer test, left/right, polarity and safe volume. GOOD FOR Car audio installs, home theater and hi-fi setups, new soundbars and Bluetooth speakers, checking a used speaker before you buy it, and tracking down a buzz in a door panel. SAFE VOLUME Start with your phone and any amplifier turned down, then raise slowly. Test tones can be loud and can stress speakers and ears. Phone speakers cannot play deep bass; for the subwoofer test, connect the system you want to check.

Verdict
The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Speaker Test at none against Crossover Designer's 1. Crossover Designer's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and device support (3 vs 1). On price there is nothing between them.
