# MNML vs Backtick

The clearest difference is update cadence: Backtick at weekly against MNML's every 5 weeks. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. MNML sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days and Backtick sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

MNML ships an update every 5 weeks, Backtick weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 8, 2026 and October 13, 2026 respectively.
