# DropCam Capsule Camera vs Surface Camera

The clearest difference is update cadence: Surface Camera at every 2 days against DropCam Capsule Camera's every 3 months. Surface Camera also leads on iOS requirement (18.0 vs 26.0). DropCam Capsule Camera's advantage is device support (3 vs 1). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. DropCam Capsule Camera sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Surface Camera sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.49 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
