# Sodium Tracker vs StepScroll

The clearest difference is update cadence: StepScroll at every 2 days against Sodium Tracker's every 3 months. StepScroll also leads on iOS requirement (16.4 vs 26.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Sodium Tracker sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days and StepScroll sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Sodium Tracker ships an update every 3 months, StepScroll every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 12, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
