# BearPass vs Permit Ready

The clearest difference is iOS requirement: Permit Ready at 16.0 against BearPass's 18.6. On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. BearPass sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days and Permit Ready sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
