# Hoop Dreams vs Aussie Rules Star

The clearest difference is rating: Aussie Rules Star at 5.0 against Hoop Dreams's 4.4. Aussie Rules Star also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 2). Hoop Dreams's advantage is update cadence (every 3 days vs every 6 weeks) and review sentiment (74% vs 50%). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Hoop Dreams sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Aussie Rules Star asks for nothing beyond the download.

Aussie Rules Star holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Hoop Dreams has 64 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 74% of Hoop Dreams's written reviews are positive against 50% of Aussie Rules Star's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
