# Stemix vs Stem Splitter

The clearest difference is update cadence: Stem Splitter at every 10 days against Stemix's every 3 months. Stemix's advantage is iOS requirement (13.0 vs 17.6). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Stemix sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and Stem Splitter sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Stemix ships an update every 3 months, Stem Splitter every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 5, 2026 respectively.
