# Yarn Connect vs Pixel Gem Loop

The clearest difference is rating: Pixel Gem Loop at 4.9 against Yarn Connect's 4.2. Pixel Gem Loop also leads on ratings volume (3K vs 215) and monetization model (ad-supported vs free with in-app purchases). Yarn Connect's advantage is review sentiment (52% vs 18%) and chart position (#161 vs unranked). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Yarn Connect sells 10 one-off in-app purchases and Pixel Gem Loop sells 10 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Pixel Gem Loop holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Pixel Gem Loop has 3K ratings behind it against 215, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 52% of Yarn Connect's written reviews are positive against 18% of Pixel Gem Loop's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 9 days. Both last shipped on November 5, 2026.
