# Bive vs SoCaly

The clearest difference is rating: SoCaly at 5.0 against Bive's 4.5. SoCaly also leads on update cadence (every 4 days vs every 2 months) and device support (3 vs 1). Bive's advantage is ratings volume (40 vs 5). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Bive sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days and SoCaly sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

SoCaly holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Bive has 40 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Bive ships an update every 2 months, SoCaly every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 12, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
